October 2026 · Q&A
After the storm, before the adjuster
October 2026 in Tampa Bay. October claims: scope photos, matching underlayment on tile, and not waving deductibles.
The storm has passed. Now what?+
If it is still leaking, we tarp. Then we fly it, write the scope, and sit with the adjuster. Do not throw damaged shingles away until they are photographed.
The adjuster said ‘repair.’ The deck is soft.+
Soft deck is replacement of those sheets, sometimes the plane. We will say so with photos. A repair allowance that ignores wet sheathing is how you get mold in March.
Tile roofs after a storm — reset or re-roof?+
Reset when the underlayment is intact. Re-roof when it is not. That is a drone and a few tiles pulled, not a sales script.
Do you chase storms out of state?+
No. We work our 60-mile radius. We are here in November too.
